This large-scale map includes excellent detail throughout. It reflects current reclamation projects and irrigation activities brought about by the Carey Act, which enabled private companies to set up irrigation systems and sell water for profit. Four Indian Reservations are shown in addition to forest reserves and military reservations. There are four insets at top including: Boise & Vicinity; Lewiston & Vicinity; Wallace & Vicinity; and Pocatello & Vicinity. The importance of mining is highlighted as it locates the famous mining towns (now ghost towns) including Rocky Bar, Atlanta, Idaho City, Pioneerville, Gilmore, Bay Horse, Bonanza Custer, and many more.
