This attractive and well rendered bird's-eye view of Lake Winnipesaukee is a fine stone lithograph, unusual for this late date. The duotone view shows the various routes for the Steamer Mt. Washington and locates Wolfboro, Alton Bay, Lakeport, Moultonboro, and much more. Steamships and sailboats fill the waters, while towns, harbors, homesteads, and lighthouses grace the shoreline. Tables in the bottom margin name the islands on the lake and the mountains to the north. The map folds into soft covers (3.6 x 6.7") with the title "Bird's-Eye Map of Lake Winnepesaukee New Hampshire." This is the first pocket map edition of this map of the popular summertime destination, with additional editions published in 1909 and 1925.
