This engraving depicts the Spaniards loading gold onto ships docked at Nombre de Dios bound for Spain. There was infighting at the time between Pedro de la Gasca and Gonzalo de Alvarado y Contreras, as seen here with several Spaniards bound in chains, hung in a tree, or being stabbed. On a sheet of German text measuring 9.0 x 14.4".
