This handsome atlas map centers on the Caribbean and extends to show the southeastern United States, Central America, and northern South America. A small portion of the Republic of Texas is shown, with Galveston and Liberty named and the Neches and Sabine rivers delineated. Present-day Miami is simply labeled as Florida. The islands of the Caribbean and Central America are depicted with many place names and nice topographical detail. The map was drawn and engraved by J. Archer.
