A lovely early map of border region between England and Scotland. The seas are engraved in Mercator's characteristic moiré pattern and the interior is filled with detail. The large strapwork title cartouche encompasses the distance scale. French text on verso.

A crisp impression on lightly toned paper with a small coat of arms watermark and marginal foxing.
