A. Munich (Munchen), by SDUK (Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge), dated 1832, hand color (15.1 x 12.4"). This finely engraved plan details the city and surrounding area. Major streets and buildings are named. A red line shows the extent of the original city's fortifications. A finely engraved bird's-eye view of the city from the east spans the bottom. Distance scales and a legend are also included. Drawn by W.B. Clarke, engraved by T. Bradley, and published by Baldwin & Cradock. Condition: Contemporary color with light foxing and minor toning along the edges of the sheet.
B. Munchen, by Bibliographisches Institut, circa 1895, printed color (10.2 x 8.2"). A bird's-eye plan that identifies the street names and key buildings, and shows the growth of the city during the latter half of the 19th century. Condition: Minor toning.
