An early map of Switzerland with north oriented at the bottom of the chart. The map was based on the work of Aegidius Tschudi, a historian of the Swiss Confederation. The title is engraved onto the top of an unusual three dimensional title box. French text on verso.

Light show-through of text on verso, a couple of vertical creases, and marginal soiling.
