This fine map covers much of southeastern Europe, centered on present-day Hungary and extending to include Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, and Transylvania. The map is richly embellished with mountain ranges, forests, rivers and cities. Throughout the landscape are numerous depictions of shepherds with their flocks and wild game animals. Strapwork title cartouche and scale of miles. This is the first state from a French edition published in 1581.
