This map extends all the way from the Mediterranean and Black Seas to the Gulf of Thailand, showing ancient kingdoms, numerous cities, rivers, and topography. The banner-style title cartouche is held aloft by a putto, while at top right is a vignette of a king dropping into an urn the recently decapitated head of another king. The large executioner stands beside the gruesome corpse. Engraved by Basire.
