This detailed map of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware shows good topographical detail along the Appalachian Mountains and identifies settlements, courthouses, and early roads. Locates Mt. Vernon, Monticello, and coal mines in Chesterfield County. County development is current only to 1821 with the creation of Pocahontas County from Pendleton (1821), but prior to the creation of Alleghany County (1822).
