Panoramic View of the Yosemite Valley Showing the Main Automobile Roads Leading to and in the Valley Together with Principal Points of Interest, by Automobile Club of Southern California, dated 1916, black & white (9.0 x 10.3"). This small map or the Yosemite Valley shows the road network in the park from the Gentry Checking Station and Pohono Bridge to Mirror Lake. Locates numerous points of interest including Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan, Half Dome, and more. The rugged topography is depicted with a three-dimensional appearance. Self-folding. B. Map of Yosemite National Park Showing Patented Lands, by U.S. Government, dated 1903, printed color (34.0 x 25.1"). Centered on the Yosemite and Big Tree Grants, the map is color-coded to identify Homesteads, Preemption, Timber, Mineral Claims and more. A large region south of the Mt. Diablo Base Line is marked "Not Subdivided" and "Not Surveyed." Lithographed by The Norris Peters Co. Condition: Clean and bright. (A)
C. Yosemite National Park Compiled from Captain Wheeler's Survey..., by U.S. Department of Interior, circa 1896, printed color (13.9 x 10.7"). This highly detailed map is color-coded to show the various types of patented lands (no legend) and is based upon several government sources. The highly detailed topography is overlaid with the familiar grid pattern of the public surveying system. A note at left indicates that a small section of topography was left blank due to conflicting information. Condition: There are a few small areas of light toning and a tiny pinhole only visible when held to light. (B+)
