A lovely steel-engraved map of the eastern hemisphere. There is extensive detail in Europe and Asia, complete with cities, rivers and political boundaries, while Africa and Australia remain relatively blank. The oceans are filled with the tracks of Captain Cook's three voyages, including the return of Cook's ship to England by Captain John Gore in 1780 after Cook's death. Surrounded in a lovely keyboard-style border.
