This complete puzzle of the United States contains 42 pieces constructed of thick, 1/4" wood. The puzzle is not dated but North and South Dakota are separate (1889) and Oklahoma is still Indian Territory (1907). The map presents basic details of roads, railroads, place names, and the river systems. The title on the box cover touts the puzzle as "instructive" and "entertaining" and indicates that the manufacturer, Sectional Block Mfg. Co., had applied for a patent. Housed in a cardboard box with paper title label featuring the United States seal on the front cover.
