This postal map shows the post routes throughout central Europe, from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Gulf of Venice in the South, and as far west as Paris and east to Krakow. The map is densely engraved with towns, rivers, and various types of postal routes as identified in the key at top right. The decorative title cartouche features postal carriers traveling by horse and carriage.

A dark impression with full contemporary color, some small stains in the top blank margin, and two archivally repaired tears that just enter the map image at top and right.
