This matching pair of maps was published in Cloppenburgh's edition of Mercator's Atlas, which were sized in between the folio maps and the Atlas Minor maps. These maps focus on Austria, with the first following the Danube River valley from Passau in the west and past Vienna in the east, and the second focusing on the western portion of the country around Saltzburg. The maps are filled with tiny villages, cities, mountains, forests and lakes and ornamented with decorative cartouches. Latin text on verso.
