A very early map of the region. This Italian version of Ptolemy describes many rivers, enlarged lakes, anthill style mountains, and a stipple engraved sea. Latin text on verso, published in either the 1562 or 1564 edition.

Condition: A

A hint of toning along the centerfold and faint damp stains confined to the side margins.
