This large and detailed map of the United States features terrific railroad detail along with towns, cities, rivers and topography. It extends to include most of Mexico and southern Canada. At bottom is an inset of Alaska showing no railroad development. Advertisements for C.H. Gentry, Chicago ticket broker, and the Sioux Reservation Land Company are shown within the map image, with numerous additional advertisements on verso. The map appears to have been issued with paper covers but none are present.

On a bright sheet with numerous small splits at the fold junctions and a few minor edge tears. Narrow margins as issued.
