A detailed map of the eastern Untied States highlighting coal country and the railroad network to access it. Concentrated primarily on West Virginia, the map is color-coded to show the various coal districts including Radford (Va), Clinch Valley, Pocohontas, Tug River, and more. Both single-track and double-track railroads are noted. The Norfolk & Western Railway was headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia and nicknamed "Big Coal." Engraved by American Bank Note Company and issued in the company's annual report.
