This promotional map was issued by the California Land and Water Company with an interesting choice of slogan: "The Center of Optimism." The map covers northern Los Angeles County and southern Kern and San Bernardino counties identifying ranches and land ownership. Bold red overprinting showing the region available for sale with enticing language including "Come to Victor Valley and Make Money" and "Abundant Never Failing Water Supply." Includes a panorama photograph at top of a dam site on the Mojave River (their water supply). Additional illustrations and promotional text on verso. Self-folding with pictorial wrappers (4.0 x 10.2"). Only one institutional example found on OCLC.
