This is an updated version of the General Land Office map first published in 1898. It shows the western part of the present state of Oklahoma and also includes a portion of the steadily shrinking Indian Territory. It locates tribal holdings, grazing lands, roads and trails, and railroads proposed and constructed. Army posts Ft. Sill, Ft. Reno, and the Wood Res. are marked in red. Land Offices are located at Woodward, Alva, Guthrie, Kingfisher, El Reno, Mangum, and Lawton.
