This detailed map extends beyond the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean to include the southern United States as far north as Houston and South America as far south as the Amazon River. The blank seas are filled with three insets of Jamaica, Port Royal and Kingston in Jamaica, and Havana in Cuba. A small table at right lists the abbreviations used to identify British, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, and Swedish possessions in the West Indies. Published by Longman & Co.

Issued folding, now flattened, on thin bank-note style paper with minor creasing and soiling. A binding trim at right has been replaced with old paper.
