First edition guidebook written by Anthony Menendez and edited by M. Ricoy. It contains 96 pages of English text describing how to get to Havana, traveling about the city, and specific points of interest. Interspersed within the text are numerous local advertisements - some in English and others in Spanish. Included at the rear of the guide are two maps. The first is Map of the Guide to Havana and Vicinity (16.4 x 12.8") which shows the street-grid pattern of the city with illustrations of key buildings and indices on both sides. The second map is Mapa de la Isla de Cuba (15.0 x 5.9") covering the entire island showing political divisions and the transportation network. Includes an advertisement in the margins stating that "Cuba is the best Havana cigarette ever made." Blue cloth covers with gilt-stamped title. Only one example located on OCLC.

The maps are good to very good with a few fold separations that have been partially closed on verso with archival tape. Text is mostly near fine but the title page is toned. Text block and maps are separated from the binding and two advertising pages are loose. Covers are sunned and lightly worn.
