This charming view depicts the city and harbor of Dunkirk, the important seaport on the French and Belgium border. The harbor is filled with a fleet of Dutch ships. In the background, the buildings of the city appear, including several windmills, churches, and a castle. A strapwork cartouche at top left features text in Latin and Dutch.
