This attractive regional map of Germany centers on Mansfeld and Eisleben with nice detail along the Wipper and Saale rivers. Based on the cartography of Stella and Mellinger, the map is filled with place names and graphically engraved to illustrate the forests and marshes. Engraved by Franz Hogenberg. German text on verso, published in either 1580 or 1589.

On a watermarked sheet with light dampstains almost entirely confined to the blank margins.
