A. Reges Asturiae, et Legionis. Potentiss: Reg: Catholici F. Philippo Dominico Victorio... This elaborate engraving shows the family tree of the rulers of the Kingdom of Asturias and Leon in northwestern Spain. The tree extends from Pelagius (717) to Alphonso VII (1126). At the bottom of the engraving is a view of the city of Ecija and the surrounding countryside. Elegantly decorated by two coats of arms and cartouches.
B. Reges Arrag. Veteres. Al Illmo: Senor, don Alonso de la Cueva y Benavides... This decorative engraving shows the rulers of Aragon in northeastern Spain covering the period from the 9th to 12th centuries. The tree branch ends at Alfonso II, the first of the House of Barcelona. Includes an attractive view of the city of Burgos at bottom.
