This lot contains two typed letters signed in fountain pen by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover on official Federal Bureau of Investigation letterhead. The first letter is to Dean Byron McCormick of the Law School at the University of Arizona, thanking him for being interviewed about Special Agent candidate Paul Waltz. The second letter is to Alfred Bergman (pen name Peter Markim), thanking him for sending a copy of his book "America Next."
