This is the second edition of this invaluable reference that covers map-making, cartographers, and collecting. The books lays out the history of map-making methods from the late 15th century onwards. Brief biographies of the major map-makers are included. It also provides advice for the collector on the practical aspects of collecting and care. Illustrations in B&W (168) and color (8) in 314 pages. Hardbound in blue cloth with a dust jacket protected by a Mylar sleeve. Condition: Near fine with minor shelf wear. (A)

This price listing covers maps of America, the United States, and territories by American commercial cartographers. 160 pp. with 56 b&w illustrations. Hardbound in blue cloth covers with gilt title on front cover and spine, with dust jacket. Condition: Contents are very good with slight rippling along the top of the pages. On the front cover, there is a light damp stain at top and a smaller one in the bottom corner. Dust jacket is lightly sunned with damp stains. (B+)
