This highly decorative map chronicling the history of the Civil War was published by Creative Merchandisers Inc. with historical consultation from E.B. Long and Ralph Newman, who co-wrote the two-volume The Civil War: The American Illiad. The map features a large chronological history flanked by a Union and Confederate soldier, and documents 64 important events from the election of Jefferson Davis to President of the Confederate States of America (1861) to Lee's surrender at Appomattox and Johnston's surrender at Durham Station (1865). These events are keyed to the map and inset, with a number of events being illustrated. Features portraits of some of the prominent figures from both sides of the war along with their respective flags at top. Surrounded by a decorative border with the names of prominent battle sites.
