An unusual map of the Old World that covers most of Europe, Northern Africa and South-central Asia with insets of Greece and the coast of Italy centered on Rome. The sheet is beautifully engraved and filled with ancient place names. Printed on two joined sheets.

Condition: A

A sharp impression on a bright sheet, issued folding with a few minor extraneous creases, a hint of toning along the right-hand fold at top, and archival repairs to a few tiny tears and separations in the top blank margin.
