This lot includes two attractive views of the World's Columbian Exposition, also known as Chicago's World Fair. Each shows the exposition grounds with the casino, pier, boats, and ships in the forefront. Chicago's skyline is depicted in the background. Each includes a key to important sites.
A. Panoramic View of the World’s Columbian Exposition, by Anonymous, dated 1892 (18.8 x 6.0"). Only one institutional example found on OCLC. Condition: Clean, bright, and colorful. Printed on two sheets and joined with original linen tape. (A)
B. A Chicagoi Columbus-Kiallitas Kepe, by Posner Karoly Lajos es Fia, dated 1893 (10.5 x 7.8"). Published in Budapest. No copies located on OCLC. Condition: Light toning that is more prominent along the sheet edges. (B+)
