This is the second printed map of Wales, after Ortelius' map, which was created by Humphrey Lhuyd. At top right are the names of the regions in Latin, English and Welsh. The map is elegantly embellished with two strapwork cartouches, sea monsters, sailing ships, and a quadrant of a large compass rose. French text on verso, published between 1628-33.

A nice impression with full contemporary color on watermarked paper. There is light toning, some minor stains, and two short centerfold separations that have been archivally repaired.
