A crisply engraved map with some outdated geography and political boundaries. The United States is confined to east of the Mississippi River and a large Spanish Louisiana is depicted to its west (despite the American purchase from the French ten years earlier). To the west of the Mississippi River and north of the 40th parallel, this vast region is identified as a British possession. Alaska is fairly well-developed but the discoveries of Mackenzie and Hearne are not reflected in the far north. In South America, Lake Parima still makes an appearance despite the late publishing date.
