This uncommon sheet includes four maps based on the writings of the Romano-Jewish historian Josephus. Draught I. Shewing the Garden of Eden... (4.8 x 3.3") appears at bottom left and spans from the eastern edge of the Mediterranean to the Bay of Bengal. There is little detail aside from the names of major rivers and a small illustration of the Tower of Babel. Draught II. Shewing Chiefly the Plantation of the World by the Posterity of Noah (12.3 x 7.9") illustrates the Generations of Noah in Southern Europe, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. Draught III (12.6 x 9.4") extends to show more of Europe to depict "the most remote places from the Holy Land" mentioned in Josephus' writings. At top left, Draught IV (5.1 x 5.4") zooms in on the Holy Land for a more detailed view with plenty of place names. The title and a dedicatory cartouche appear at bottom right.
