Lovely Dutch Bible map covering the region between the Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf, featuring the Garden of Eden located near the city of Babel, which is graphically depicted with its huge tower. At top are small vignettes of Abraham's journey from Ur, and two larger scenes of Eve offering Adam the apple and the expulsion from the Garden of Eden. In the sea beneath Cyprus is a scene of Jonah and the whale. The scale of miles is enclosed in a decorative cartouche. Dutch text on verso.
