Three FDR items dated shortly after Roosevelt's first presidential election in 1932:

The first item is a typed letter signed (7.2 x 10.5") on personal stationary from Roosevelt to Celeste Judel thanking her for "a very lovely tie which you sent me at Christmas time." Dated January 24, 1933. Condition: On watermarked paper with soiling, staining, and some paper reinforcement along the top and right sheet edges.

The second piece is an invitation (8.0 x 11.3") for Miss Celeste Jedell (spelling slightly different from above) to attend Roosevelt's Inauguration on March 4, 1933. The verso contains three ticket stubs giving Jedell access to the Inauguration and a White House event immediately following. Condition: Light toning on the left half of the sheet. Tickets on verso are adhered with paper tape.

The third item is an invitation (5.2 x 7.4") from Governor and Mrs. Roosevelt to Celeste Jidel (spelling slightly different from above) for an informal reception "tendered to those connected with the Democratic National Campaign Headquarters," held at the Hotel Biltmore on December 16, 1932. This was likely a campaign party following Roosevelt's election in November 1932. Condition: Light toning with some paper tape along the right sheet edge.
