This rare small chart of Tierra del Fuego appeared in the fourth volume of Estienne Roger's Recueil des Voiages qui ont Servi a l'Etablissement..., a French translation of Isaac Commelin's accounts of Dutch voyages. There is no inland detail, but numerous bays and islands are identified. Straat van Lemair (Le Maire Strait) is located. The sea is crisscrossed with rhumb lines, and there are depth soundings along the coast. A compass rose capped with a fleur-de-lis and a scale of German miles complete the composition. Pag. 696 appears in the top right corner.
