This handsome map of the Iberian Peninsula features excellent topographical detail and plenty of place names. Both Spain and Portugal are divided into their respective regions. Roads are delineated throughout the map. It extends to include the Balearic Islands, part of France, and a portion of northern Africa. Two insets appear in the bottom corners: The Harbour of Port Mahon (at left) and A Chart of the Straits of Gibralter with the Coast of Spain from Cadiz to Malaga (at right). A note to the left of the title cartouche credits Michelot and Bremond as sources for the coasts. The decorative title cartouche incorporates two distance scales and features a gentleman in local dress beside some livestock, with a town in the distance.

A nice impression issued folding on a sheet with a fleur-de-lis watermark. There is some minor toning that is mostly confined to the blank margins.
