This beautiful 17th-century map of Italy extends to include Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, and the Balkan coastline. The map is teeming with details including towns, villages, rivers, mountains in profile, and an erupting Mt. Etna on the eastern coast of Sicily. It is adorned by a highly decorative allegorical title cartouche in the flourishing French style.

A nice impression with contemporary outline color on a sheet with a fleur-de-lis watermark. There are a few printer's creases at right and light toning along the top sheet edge.
