This attractive map of North America and the West Indies focuses mainly on topography, with outline color delineating nations and colonial possessions with a legend at bottom. The northern border with Canada depicts the British perspective, with the border extending well into present-day Washington state. The west coast consists of Neu Albion, Neu Californien and Alt Californien. Despite the 1837 date, Texas is neither named nor delineated within Mexico. Engraved by Leutemann.
