This pictorial map was issued by the State of Maine Publicity Bureau. Centered on the large lake, it extends to Seboomook Mountain in the north and the town of Shirley in the south. The map is filled with information for the tourist and includes points of interest for both Greenville and Rockwood which are situated along the edge of the lake. Features several illustrations within the map including a compass rose with a moose at center, and panels at left and right show the different types of trees in the region.
Moosehead Lake is the largest lake in Maine and the largest mountain lake in the eastern United States. It is the source of the Kennebec River.
