This nicely engraved map delineates both town and county boundaries. There are only seven counties shown, with the county configuration only current to 1790. The map shows topography, watershed, and a surprisingly large network of early wagon roads. It locates and names Dartmouth College next to the Connecticut River. Drawn by A. Anderson and engraved by Tiebout. Published by John Low, New York. The map originally appeared in Payne's New and Complete Universal Geography, also published by Low.
