This unusual "stamp map" of the world was published by the Philatelic Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While geographical information is limited to political boundaries, it is filled with images of stamps from across the globe that highlight important figures, nature, landmarks, events, and more. Accompanying text adds context including "First government to issue stamps was Great Britain, in 1840..." and "The first Air Mail Stamp was issued by Italy in May, 1917." Surrounding the main map image is another series of stamps representing 44 countries. Blank verso.
