This copper engraved map of the Southern Hemisphere is likely from an Italian work published by La Harpe. It extends from the South Pole to the Equator and shows much of the coastline of South America, southern Africa, and all of Australia, which is still connected to Tasmania. New Zealand is shown with a complete coastline based upon Cook, but predates the discovery of Antarctica.
