A handsome map depicting Northern Wales, filled with charming pictorial topography describing forests, cities, and mountains, including Snowdown Hill (Snowdon), the highest mountain in the country. The map is adorned with cartouches flanked with putti and mermen, two coats of arms, and deftly engraved sailing ships. Latin text on verso, published between 1646-59.

A nice impression with faint damp staining at top, light soiling, and minor show-through of text on verso. The centerfold has been reinforced with archival materials on verso, and there are also remnants of hinge tape on verso.
