Two maps one sheet, one above the other, charting the course of the Rhine River. Beginning on the top map, from its spring at the Bodensee in Switzerland, the river flows through the eastern part of Germany and transitions to the bottom map to show its course through western Germany, the Netherlands and into the North Sea. The upper map has a decorative title cartouche attended by the trumpeting Angel of Fame, a Roman soldier, and a pair of devotees of Bacchus. The lower map is decorated with mer-people and sailing ships.
