This striking map of the Turkish Empire stretches from Corsica and Sardinia to the Black Sea, Cyprus, and Terra Sancta. The journeys of the Apostle Paul are prominently depicted in the Mediterranean Sea, which includes a panel of descriptive text. The map is further decorated by an elaborate title cartouche surrounded by Greek medallions which are keyed to descriptions along the border at top and left. Drawn by Johann Christoph Harenberg.
