This very handsome map covers the Turkish Empire at the height of its power. The region extends from the Balkans to Persia and from Northern Africa through the Arabian Peninsula, and is filled with place names, topographical features, and notes. It is embellished with a fine title cartouche with three Turks. This is the second state with additional detail in Italy and central Arabia, de Wit's imprint beneath the title, and no sign of engraver Joannes Lhuilier's imprint.
