This handsome and detailed map of the Persian Empire covers present-day Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and part of the coast of Arabia, labeled Bahrem onder Persie. There are plenty of place names and some nice topographical detail. Three distance scales appear in a cartouche at top right, and there is a simple title cartouche at bottom left.

Full contemporary color with a large fleur-de-lis coat of arms watermark. There is light toning, minor printer's ink residue, and damp staining along the bottom edge of the sheet, well away from map image.
