This charming set of world & continent pictorial maps was designed by Jacques Liozu and originally published by Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) in 1951. This set is the revised 1960 edition with each map filled with colorful and often humorous illustrations highlighting its people, landmarks, and natural beauty. North America is represented by a dogsled team, bucking bronco, and a farmer with his tobacco crop. Asia includes a man on a flying carpet, a snake charmer, rickshaw, and numerous animals including a tiger, elephant and monkey. Each continent map is adorned by a decorative title cartouche, compass rose, and gilt border. Blank versos.
