This German sheet features two lovely engravings showing Mount Vernon (top) and Washington, D.C. (bottom). Both views are copied from drawings by British landscape artist William Henry Bartlett from circa 1839. The top view depicts the eastern wing of Mount Vernon with figures in the foreground and the Potomac in the background. The bottom view presents Washington, D.C. and the Capitol from the vantage of the White House.
